Thilorier and Serrurot lamp in painted sheet metal imitating marble forming a Doric order column from the 19th century.
Square base.
Finely chiseled bronze capital.
New electrification: gilded brass socket for E27 screw bulb, new wire.
The power supply is mounted inside the base. Its rectangular lampshade was created from a Braquenié fabric with antique decoration.

Adrien (Jean, Pierre) Thilorier (1790 – 1844) is a French inventor active in the field of gas compression.
The first mention of an invention by Thilorier dates from 1826: it is a patent for a hydrostatic oil lamp. In 1835, Thilorier, associated with the manufacturer Serrurot, obtained a patent for an “autostatic lamp”
